Michelle E. Dickinson, is on a mission to introduce Psychological Resilience to organizations just like yours. Michelle is a Wellbeing Strategist and has been featured speaker for:
Michelle is a very passionate mental health advocate, a TEDx speaker, and a published author of a memoir entitled Breaking Into My Life. Above all, she is a change maker with mental health experience and a deep commitment to fully empowering people around their wellbeing.
After years of playing the role of caregiver to her mother, Michelle embarked on her own healing journey of self-discovery. Her powerful memoir offers a rare glimpse into a young girl’s experience living with—and loving—her bipolar mother.
She then went on to spend years working to eradicate the mental health stigma within her own workplace by elevating compassion, causing more open conversations, and leading real change in how mental health challenges are understood in the workplace.
Michelle also knows first-hand what it feels like to struggle with her own mental health challenges after experiencing her own depression due to challenging life events.
This has provided her with a rich Trifecta lens on Mental Health. Michelle is deeply committed to positively impacting the mental health landscape and to ending the suffering in silence dynamic that prevents so many from getting care.
"Michelle's Resilience Course helped me realize that I was not alone and that I didn't need to be embarrassed by my anxiety. She helped me realize that it was ok to talk about it and more importantly to reach out and ask for help."
“Thank you so much for the amazing three sessions you held for our employees. The feedback I received from our staff was absolutely amazing. Your program was very impactful. So many employees were eager to thank us for this session. Thank you, you were great!”
“Michelle is a strong, empathetic, and charismatic leader. My organization was drawn to her dedication to mental health support and has benefited immensely by her compassion. She hosted two Mondo Minute sessions on how to lead and put yourself first. Her mental health journey is so compelling and she has a terrific way of relating to people.”
Michelle’s passion and commitment to mental health advocacy is notable. She is a subject matter expert due to personal experience, professional engagements and lifelong learning. The impact she has had on changing the way people think about mental health due to her speaking engagements, published memoir and advocacy work around the country is enormous, and I would like to thank her wholeheartedly for the numerous lives she has touched. Michelle’s story is raw, authentic and will lead you to take action.
As a clinician, I appreciate Michelle Dickinson’s comprehension of mental illness. Through the sharing of her story, I have witnessed the real difference that she is having in elevating the mental illness conversation so that together we can remove the stigma.
